The writer of Ecclesiastes warns us to be men and women of few words when in the House of the Lord remembering who we are, where we are, and who God is. We are not in need of oaths or vows in our normal lives, for Jesus tells us that as His followers, our 'yes' should always be 'yes', and our 'no' should always be 'no'. No other promise should be needed by a Christian man or woman.
